Dumulmori in Autumn (Nov 09) - 2

In this part 2, I just want to add in more photos - only the view walking along the riverside.
The above photo is the new corner that I just discovered - and it was nice!

I would like to keep the below as my bookmark.

The bridge from the tunnel (Namyangju to Yangpyeong) just crossover this place.

I wanted to make these all in one photo... but I'm lazy  to find the software.

After cross the bridge , another big garden is there.

And more to more - near to the center of Yangsuri and there are restaurants!

Hope you like  this place too.

Dumulmori in Autumn (Nov 09) - 1

We went to this place in Aug (post is here).
In autumn it has another face of views - a lot of people like to have a walk here - a calm and quiet place (though the bridge is just cross over the river. So I asked my hubby to bring me there again in November. The weather was nice indeed.

However, we could not see any lotus flowers.  It is not  the season.

Walk until the end and you will see this very old tree, strong standing in the land.

Not only couples like to date here, but also it is a place for family, and friends. I love the business of parents taking photo for their children but they are too active.

Anyway, I was satisfied with the good  weather and beautiful scenery.

If only I can have a better camera, I think you can feel more realistic about the place.

This time, we discovered a gallery which we didn't enter before. A painter was having her painting exhibition in the small house near to the river.

Just enter the gallery when you  see the signboard below. 수밀원(Su-mil-won)

Because it is the season of pumpkin,  they arrange some big pumpkins outside the little house.

With some wood too...
Korea doesn't have much big trees.

Inside the gallery,

The paintings are hung all over the house, slowly walk around as it  is really 'small'! However, they are nice!
There are mini cafe inside too.

We met the painter herself - she was busy painting.

Erm... do not forget to look for the beautiful autumn leaves on the floor! It's  very nice!!!

And also do not forget to take a photo with the pumpkin! (I like it)

Autumn red-yellow-brown-golden moment

Last Monday we went to the Grand Children Park to have a walk as I knew that the leaves started to change colors. These two days the temperature suddenly dropped down so fast - below zero - that stopped me to visit the park . :(
Anyway, I snapped some photos for my 2009 autumn collections. I will join a photographing session on next Saturday with a Korean photographing club in order to learn some basic photographig skill from them.

The beautiful yellow+green+brown  tall grand trees welcomed me from the Guui entrance to the park.

Walking on the jogging route - slightly change color of the trees.

We found here beautiful and we took a group photo together.

Red leaf on the floor is always my target.
SNV36897

I still remember this view - last year I was  here and there was a graduation photo session of a kindergarten.

Which one do you like? Portrait or landscape?

Yellow ginkyo trees - the first to shine in the autumn
SNV36952

It's hard to take photo for this tree as they are to bright- but it turns out good and it looks like a postcard for me!
SNV36960
Erm... this red is not shining, yet it tells me that... they are coming soon!

Have you seen the beautiful autumn scenery this year? Go out and have a  look. Despite the swine flu, wear a mask and make sure you drink lots  of water and intake vitamin c, and the most, do exercise or have sports, to make your body healthy. The long and cold winter is coming  - I think the  best precaution is have exercise regularly. Take care! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Graduation

Oct and Nov are also the months of taking graduation photos and having graduation dinner. The real graduation ceremony is held on February every year (some even in September too). The weather in Oct/Nov is the best for the whole year, also the autumn scenery is amazingly wonderful.

Koreans normally have their graduation photos taken formally. Girls have the full make up and some even have their hair set. The dress code is formal - so... this is the  time when you can see the most handsome and most beautiful moments of your seniors / classmates. :P

Anyway, we also just took our graduation photos informally with our classmates, fun and nice!

I not yet received the photos but I have some backstage photos here

My camera is not the offical camera (not qualified for sure), but I got some interesting moments only.

This was  our lunch main dish - 족발 jokbal - glazed pig's feet.
with vege, chili paste and garlic.

Have a walk around the camping site

In the morning, the weather was so nice and the sun was bright. Some of us walked about 500-700m away from the camping site. We discovered the view is nice, plus some animals were seen too. After us, the kids and their parents also followed our track. :)

SNV36743
We saw this handsome horse - actually we didn't notice him at first, but he came out to see us (may be we made noise and woke him up)
SNV36744
Cow and dogs too.
Oh, right! There are some chickens up on the house of the hill too.

SNV36731

We found some wild apples.

SNV36748
and... fresh jujube!!!

When you have a chance to go out of Seoul and have a short trip, stay at a  homestay place and walk around that area - a lot of things to discover because there are the best places to know local culture and country side true identity. Fresh air, calm nature!

Camping gadgets

We added a lot of new gadgets for the last camping as we're more familiar with it and we knew more about what we need.

First, the table and chair set is the most  important.

SNV36687

Table set has a lot of designs, some come of 4 mini chairs (steel made) and the new one  we bought does not include chairs. Anyway, they are foldable and easy and light to carry anyway.
The chairs have 2 designs - either with hand holder or not, the one without can save more  spaces. They like to have feast. While the parents stand up to have their meals and have more fun.
Anyway, the table-chair set brings a lot of convenient, it attracts the kids to have their meal altogether.

SNV36725

Canvas Hammock was in our list this time too!
See how the kids enjoyed themselves - shake it and lie on it - let the sun shine on you is the best time!
Beware! Do not use the normal string which come with the hammock, buy a protective string - wider one - to protect the trees. We're advised to use another type of string when the person--in-charge showed us the damage caused to the tree after we hanged the hammock on the trees.

page3

Dish-washing bag is in our new list too. Just put all the used kitchen utensils into the blue washing bag and bring it to the dish washing basin. It is very convenient. Besides, the hanging kitchen utensil hanger is also bought for drying the things. :)

page2

The highlight of this camping is:
electricity is usable.
You have to buy your own cable ring to link  to  the main supply, either on a tree, or near to the chalet. make sure you buy a long enough one.
Because of this, we bring electric rice cooker, electric insulator and electric water boiler to do all cooking, just like at home!

That's I think for this year camping gadgets.

Hope you will also have a chance to go camping! It is very interesting! (Have kids? - let's see some of the kids who enjoyed the camp so much)

Last camping this year

We went to the last camping of this year - in Oct 10th. The weather was so good - not yet in winter, but the temperature went down very fast at night and at dawn time. We wore winter clothes instead.

We went to the same camping area in Sep.

SNV36720

We settled down our camp nearer to the 2nd entrance and nearer to a chalet and a dish-washing place.

SNV36693

Autumn is the best season for camping, still a lot of Koreans came here to enjoy the calm and beautiful season in October.
SNV36760

There is a mongolia camp here.
SNV36766

A convenient-store here. The most important thing is sold here: the wood to burn for heat. We need to make ourselves warm and the owner sells the wood and you can burn it in your own camp. Normally it is sold in  the early morning and late afternoon. I  didn't manage to take the photos.
SNV36767

Other than the tent you can set up here, chalet is also available to stay in. For kids, the rooms are the best place to keep warm and keep away  from flu attack. The heating system is built in in the floor inside the building. Just the price is little bit more expensive than the tent.
One tent is 30,000won. The room is about above 50,000 won, depend on the size of room.

Another option  for those who don't own a tent, they went to the nearby motel to stay overnight. 30,000 won per night. It is warm and comfortable too. :)

Water is out of reach this time - it is too cold to get near it. But we have beautiful autumn leaves joined up. It's still early but thanks God still there was some to snap in my camera.

SNV36762 beautiful red

stands for passionate red in the middle of green
SNV36768

Found this bright yellow crysanthemum flowers too. :)
SNV36764

Still the main subject of this camping is the tall tall tree - look up - how can we reach the top?
